Subject Headings
The subject headings list also the class number correlations, the free-floating subdivisions and the chronological subdivisions. There are about four thousand five hundred (4,500) subject headings listed in ICSI. Subject headings are arranged alphabetically and they correlate with the class number from the classification scheme. It is an index to the captions (headings and subheadings) in the classification scheme. New subject headings and subdivisions extracted from the topics and subtopics from the classification scheme are introduced.
